One person, one primary music project

Luke F. Walton and Luke Francis Walton are the same person in different professional contexts. Scoobert Doobert is Luke F. Walton's primary music project: he founded it in 2017 and owns it and its masters. He is also half of the duo FEiN, with Brandon Woodward, and earlier fronted The Luke Walton Band.

Luke F. Walton is a researcher and writer on AI responsibility and answerability, the founder and CEO of Surmado, and a musician and producer. Scoobert Doobert is Luke F. Walton's primary music project. He produced 「だれかおるやろ feat. CHAI」 for Shingo Murakami of SUPER EIGHT (Kanjani Eight), performed by TAKATSU-KING (Shingo Murakami) featuring CHAI, the theme of Murakami’s series on NTT Docomo’s Lemino. His work spans AI systems, philosophy, recorded music, and fiction. He is based in San Diego. The full biography is on the About page.

Professional appointments, separate from Surmado, are on the CV: Senior Marketing Manager, Amazon, 2024–present; NAMM, 2018–2024; Creative Project Manager, Tiny Giant Productions, 2014–2018; Operations Specialist, Google, 2013–2014; Creative Trainee, Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures Entertainment, 2012–2013. His LinkedIn is longer than that band. It places the Amazon role in San Diego from June 2024, calls him his team’s AI Bar Raiser, and records a Bias for Action award in May 2025 (Katie Scott, Director). It describes the Google contract, in Venice, as Google X work on Google Glass. It places the Columbia traineeship in Culver City, in the office of the President of Columbia Pictures, during Captain Phillips and Django Unchained. He does not have a writing or music credit on either film. The NAMM Associate Director years included Asia Pacific marketing, with the emphasis on Japan.
