Identity

Scoobert Doobert is Luke F. Walton's primary music project. He founded it in 2017 and owns it and its masters; Beformer is the label (some releases are co-signed Beformer × indiemono), and he records at Micasa Studios, his private San Diego studio. It is self-produced indie and chill pop: he writes, plays, produces, and mixes the records himself, credited on songwriting and production as Luke Francis Walton. The artist site is scoobertdoobert.pizza. The wider story (FEiN, NAMM, Love Music More, and the production work) is on Music.

Where to start

Three songs that show what the catalog sounds like.

  • I'm an Idiot A Big Hug single that turns self-deprecation into relief, from missing every social cue to realizing nobody is watching.
  • Don't Worry A Big Hug track that plays anxiety for satire, a 2 pm breakdown and worrying about not living in the now.
  • Miracle (Scoobert Doobert Remix) A remix for CHAI, track 4 on Sub Pop's WINK TOGETHER (2022). The CHAI production credits, "WHOLE" and "MY DREAM," came after it.
MÖBIUS cycle

The catalog is organized as an active four-part cycle, MÖB → I → US → MÖBIUS.

  • MÖB LP · Oct 20, 2023 · 11 tracks · Beformer. First turn: body, memory, anxiety, survival, loop-form.
  • I LP · Jun 14, 2024 · 13 tracks · Beformer. Second turn: relational selfhood, movement, love, nature, craft, and “u.”
  • US Third turn · chapter EPs on streaming · full LP scheduled for January 2027. Current sequence is eleven songs; more may be added.
  • MÖBIUS Fourth turn (LP), planned; no date, tracklist or credits announced. The stated goal: loop in the whole Scoobert history, the broader network, and the other works, and blend what is fact and what is fiction. Burt Cashman and cawleen are characters on it and credited on it. Cycle page at /albums/mobius-cycle/.
