Luke Francis Walton remixed mother ship and mixed / co-produced Kare Wa 3.0 with Tokyo underground rave-rock band bed, opening theme for Fuji TV × Skybound drama HEART ATTACK. Not a conventional indie act: bed formed in 2022 (UNE, SINJI, JONEU, SHUN-1) and built a cult following through anti-industry live mythology before recorded releases went international. Separate scene from CHAI/OKAME.

bed are post-punk / electronic-experimentation / rave-rock, less release-cycle indie, more live-scene disruption. GATA and Crack describe Tokyo after-midnight sets: metal-machine basslines, big riffs, techno kicks, smoke and strobes, songs flowing like a techno mix. They ran bedroom parties at Shibuya clubasia (band + house/techno DJs) and reportedly filled a 600-person Shin-Kiba warehouse in 2023.

The mythology is deliberate: Crack frames bed as an ongoing 2052 world-building project, blacked-out visual identity, Matrix-green flyers, cyberpunk framing, music/artwork/stage as one universe. Singles from July 2022 (APOLOGIZE) through Kare Wa, Michael Mann, mother ship (April 2023), 130, ISEI – Live. FRIENDSHIP. catalogs release dates; Archives : May 27th, 2023 was their first album-length drop, but EYESCREAM quotes the band refusing a “1st album” made to tour, play festivals, or satisfy media: a live-recording archive instead.

HEART ATTACK was an inflection point: Japanese press (Spincoaster, SENSA) says director Takeshi Maruyama first imagined opening the Fuji TV drama with the existing live Kare Wa 2.0; bed then proposed a newly recorded 3.0 as the definitive TV version. Internationally, Crack reports a 2025 London show leading to Forty Miles and 2026 UK dates (Windmill, George Tavern, LOST orbit).
