bed’s third iteration of “Kare Wa”, after the 2022 original and live 2.0 (documented on Archives : May 27th, 2023), recorded as a new version for the Fuji TV × Skybound drama HEART ATTACK. Spincoaster and SENSA report that director Takeshi Maruyama first imagined opening the show with the existing live-recorded Kare Wa 2.0; bed then proposed a newly recorded 3.0 as the definitive TV version. That is a better story than a passive sync: the drama already wanted their live energy, then the band built the opening theme.
bed are not a conventional Tokyo indie act, a 2022-formed underground rave-rock/post-punk unit (UNE, SINJI, JONEU, SHUN-1) built on anti-industry live mythology, 2052 world-building, and controlled scarcity before this broadcast moment. The Spotify credits pane lists Luke Francis Walton as Lyricist/Composer (co-writer) and Scoobert Doobert as Studio Producer; Luke also mixed the track (bed sleepwell / FRIENDSHIP. release). The credit is transcribed in the press-kit evidence log. He posted a production demo (April 11, 2025) syncing the bed mix to the actual HEART ATTACK opening sequence—the broadcast version he co-wrote, produced, and mixed as theme song. Earlier in the arc: mother ship (Scoobert Doobert Remix) on the April 2023 single.
