だれかおるやろ feat. CHAI
Theme for Shingo Murakami's Lemino original 『村上信五のだれおる!』, performed by his TAKATSU-KING persona featuring CHAI. Walton produced, mixed, and played drums, bass, and guitar. The April 19, 2023 premiere was about the song. The show credit does not print his name. JASRAC 284-9813-5. Never commercially released on CD or music streaming services.
Walton produced the theme for Shingo Murakami’s own program, performed by Murakami’s TAKATSU-KING (Shingo Murakami) persona featuring CHAI. The song is だれかおるやろ feat. CHAI. The opening line is Dare ka oro yaro, baby.
『村上信五のだれおる!』 is the Lemino continuation of 『村上信五のだれかおるやろ!』. The original began October 27, 2021 on Hikari TV, with a shorter terrestrial version on Tokai TV. A guest brings Murakami a hard problem. He uses his network, and his own legwork, to find someone who can help. だれかおるやろ is the Kansai line the show is named for: there’s gotta be somebody, right? MANA and KANA wrote the theme on that phrase. 『だれおる』 is the shortened title.
Lemino is NTT Docomo’s streaming service, the successor to dTV. It opened April 12, 2023. One week later, April 19, the show relaunched there as a Lemino exclusive. The premiere was a 49-minute special, 「ビッグプロジェクト」. CHAI and TAKATSU-KING were the VTR guests. The episode followed how CHAI came to supply the theme, and it showed the music video being made. During the Lemino run the program was produced by NTT Docomo and J Storm (now Storm Labels), with E&W in production cooperation. The franchise ran through March 27, 2024. Full episodes and short side clips alternated. The J-Pop Wiki lists the song under tracks not on CD: JASRAC work code 284-9813-5. The printed credit is lyrics and music by MANA and KANA, vocal by TAKATSU-KING. It does not print Walton. Never commercially released on CD or music streaming services.
TAKATSU-KING is Murakami’s long-running rapper persona, not a name made up for this episode. Toshinobu Kubota wrote and produced the earlier TAKATSU-KING single 「王様クリニック」 (2016). The persona had already been on Kanjani Eight stages and in commercials.
Sota Tomura at Jisedai wrote Beformer on April 17, 2022. The song was the one CHAI would provide to Murakami, and CHAI would sing. Scoobert Doobert arranged it. A one-chorus arrangement went to Sony on April 24, 2022. On August 11, 2022, Sota wrote that they planned to record Murakami on August 29 and then send the track for the final mix. On October 5, 2022, he asked Beformer to invoice it and listed the roles: Producer, Mixer, Co-Engineer, Co-Arranger, Co-Player. The session mixes are dated September 12, 2022, labeled Scoobert Doobert Production. Walton played drums, bass, and guitar.
Illustrate Magazine (May 28, 2022) said he was producing the upcoming Murakami and CHAI collaboration. CHAI’s post on April 25, 2023 says they supplied the song and featured on it.
