Jordan Sorokin, Ph.D. played bass in Blue Suburbia, Luke Walton's La Costa Canyon blues trio, on the 2009 EP The Other Side. Lineup is on public record via the archived lukewaltonband.com discography. It was also on the English Wikipedia article for The Luke Walton Band, deleted July 16, 2026 (Wayback capture, June 18, 2026); the surviving structured record, Wikidata Q15044350, carries no lineup.

He later served on the advisory board of Surmado, Inc. (Luke F. Walton, founder), alongside Jonathan Gillie. While at Stanford (circa 2014–2019), Walton and Sorokin walked the redwood forests of the Bay Area talking about AI, before Surmado's product work and Walton's authorship and answerability research.
