With Blue Suburbia Complete

La Costa Canyon high-school classic rock / blues trio (~2008–2009): Luke Walton (guitar, vocals), Zach Freeman (drums), Jordan Sorokin (bass). Won LCC Battle of the Bands; recorded The Other Side (2009).

Blue Suburbia followed Mannequin in Walton's La Costa Canyon line: Casey McSocial (first band) → Mannequin (Walton founded) → Blue Suburbia → The Luke Walton Band. Solo EPs Just A Friend and Heart in Hand ran in parallel with all three bands. The group was a cover-forward blues trio — Eric Clapton, John Mayer, and similar — with a few Walton originals, chiefly Preschool.

Public record: the archived lukewaltonband.com discography names Luke Walton, Zach Freeman (drums), and Jordan Sorokin (bass) as Blue Suburbia; the band won La Costa Canyon's Battle of the Bands and recorded the four-song EP The Other Side (~17:40, summer 2009) before members left for college. The same roster was on the English Wikipedia article for The Luke Walton Band, deleted July 16, 2026 (Wayback capture, June 18, 2026); the surviving structured record, Wikidata Q15044350, carries no lineup. The 2009 Coast News profile corroborates Walton's LCC Battle of the Bands arc (Blue Suburbia win). The archived discography lists the release as Luke Walton feat. Blue Suburbia.

Blue Suburbia closed the La Costa Canyon Battle of the Bands run: Walton did not compete freshman year, won with Casey McSocial, placed second with Mannequin, then won again here — the arc The Coast News summarized as winning all but one year.
