Don't Give In

Don’t Give In: Kerri Medders (Texas-born singer-songwriter and actress; SEAL Team, Alexa & Katie). Track four on the four-song Lot 17 EP (April 17, 2017: Spotify · Apple Music, ~14 minutes). Luke Francis Walton co-wrote and produced the full EP with Brandon Woodward. Slipping, Cry, Cry, and Don’t Give In are all originals from that session; How Will I Know is the Whitney Houston cover. Teenplicity on the sophomore EP’s ‘80s-leaning pop/alternative sound and Kerri’s vulnerability at 17.

Authorship: Ouch! Magazine quotes Kerri: every song on Lot 17 except the Whitney cover was co-written with producers Brandon Woodward and Luke Francis (Luke Francis = Luke Francis Walton). Co-writers on the Do Not Reply score page: Kerri A. Medders, Luke Francis Walton, Brandon Michael Woodward. The same page prints Cry, Cry as PRODUCED BY FEID AKA LUKE WALTON AND BRANDON WOODWARD, and the publishing line as BRANDON WICHAEL WOODWARD. FEID and Wichael are typos for FEiN and Michael. Don’t Give In on that page spells Brandon Michael Woodward and does not use FEID.

Do Not Reply (2019) starred Medders; Don’t Give In is among the film’s featured music. The Lot 17 cycle preceded a High School Nation tour (Plain White T’s, Drake Bell; 90,000+ per artist bio).

Luke Francis Walton: co-writer, producer, and session guitarist (with Woodward). No Scoobert vocal: Medders performs.
