With Peter Lee Johnson Complete
Also credited as PLJ
Los Angeles violinist, producer, and songwriter. Violin in The Luke Walton Band (USC Thornton · Goodbye/Hello, 2010); guitar on his 2012 Jason Mraz cover; violin on FEiN Little Homes (Creatures, Don't You). BMI songwriter on Lucky Daye's Roll Some Mo (2020 GRAMMY Best R&B Song nominee).
Peter Lee Johnson (PLJ) met Luke Walton in USC Thornton's inaugural Popular Music Program (~2009–2010). He was the violinist in The Luke Walton Band — Walton guitar and voice, Logan Shrewsbury drums, Nick “Thor” Campbell bass — on the self-released LP Goodbye/Hello (September 1, 2010) and on the 2010 California coast tour bills with Rozzi Crane and Sam Wilkes. The same cohort appears on the Winter 2009 USC Trojan Family Magazine cover after Walton's Taylor Swift date video.
On November 29, 2010, Walton uploaded Top 10 Acoustic Mashup — Peter Lee Johnson & Luke Walton to @lukefwalton — Billboard's top ten in one acoustic mashup, The Luke Walton Band lineup recorded live: Johnson violin, Nick Campbell bass, Logan Shrewsbury drums, Walton guitar (Billboard Hot 100 top ten · every instrument recorded live · no samples from originals). Chord chart PDF. On June 11, 2012, Johnson uploaded I Won't Give Up — Jason Mraz (violin cover) to @PeterLeeJohnson — main guitar and violin in one take, then piano/drums/shaker/bass overdubs. The description credits Luke Walton on guitar (Thanks to my friend Luke Walton for layin' down the guitar on this one. (YouTube description · lukewaltonmusic.com)).
After Thornton, Johnson built a large YouTube and studio profile at pljmusic.com — violin covers, production, and session work. BMI lists him among 2020 GRAMMY Award nominees as co-writer of Lucky Daye's “Roll Some Mo” (Best R&B Song).
The FEiN thread: Johnson played violin on Little Homes tracks Creatures and Don't You — credited on the FEiN Times Issue #3 zine-wrap liner (`/albums/little-homes-fein/#liner-credits`). Session work only; not a FEiN co-writer.
