QUIET YOUR MIND!!!
A lullaby for someone else's anxiety: offering something beautiful to believe in when consciousness feels like an accident, and pointing the magic back at them: quiet your mind and listen.

First chapter of US, the “we” turn after I’s relational “u.” It’s addressed outward, an offer rather than a lecture: something nice, something pretty, something beautiful, if only belief were that easy to hand someone.
The middle asks plainly whether consciousness is just an accident, a sprinkle on a donut that’s been sitting out all day. Nothing gets argued. There’s only old-fashioned faith that there’s music to it, a pattern the speaker’s own fingers can’t quite play yet.
Then the last line turns the camera: you, the magic is in you. Quiet your mind and listen isn’t a shutdown, it’s making room.
Written, performed, and mixed by Luke Francis Walton.
Lyrics
I wanna give you something to believe in Hmm give you something to believe in Something nice, something pretty, something beautiful If only it could be that simple Quiet your mind Quiet your mind Quiet your mind and listen Do you believe that consciousness is, like, an accident? A sprinkle on a donut that's been sitting out all day You can call me old fashioned But I think there's more to life than that A music it to it That my fingers cannot seem to play Whisper in your dreams Memory forgotten Saying you are worthy of being happy I wanna give you something to believe in Hmm give you something to believe in Something nice, something pretty, something beautiful If only it could be that simple Quiet your mind Quiet your mind Quiet your mind and listen You, the magic is in you
