Deserted-island daydream with your person: tuna again, favorite book, movie uninterrupted: quiet simple life looking at the sea.

Track four on Moonlight Beach, released as a standalone single ahead of the LP. EARMILK heard laidback summer guitar, bass grooves, and calm ocean-facing pop, a preview of the whole record’s posture.

A deserted-island domestic fantasy that keeps shrinking the world to fit two people. The island is not very big, so every day we go in circles, which is the whole ambition rather than a complaint.

Less joke than Shrimp Burrito, less ecstatic than Feels So Good: ocean view as enough. Pairs with Tired of the Sunshine as the album’s push-pull on California light.

Also on Catalog as 2023 single.

Written, performed, and mixed by Luke Francis Walton. Mastered by Riley Knapp. Album art by Gentle Giant Illustrations.

Lyrics
Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Every day the same adventure
Look at the sea
Chilling just me and you
Every day I cook you dinner
Catch of the day
It's tuna again, your favorite
Make it the way you like it
Deserted on an island
Reading your favorite book
I'm watching a movie
No one interrupting
Me and you

Looking at an ocean view
That's all we'll do
A quiet simple life
In a seaside town
No one around to bother us
From important things like
Sitting quietly

Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Ooo ooo

Take a walk around the island
Not very big
Be back in an hour or two
Every day we go in circles
Cause we got all we need around
Me and you

Looking at an ocean view
That's all we'll do
A quiet simple life
In a seaside town
No one around to bother us
From important things like
Sitting quietly

Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Ooo ooo
Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Ooo ooo
Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Looking at an ocean view, ooo
Ooo ooo ooo
