Moonlight Beach joy overload: pizza cheese-pull commercial, bonfire at your break, California burrito economics, Neptune infinity pool: platonic homie love so good it feels fake.

Track two on Moonlight Beach, released as a standalone single January 13, 2023 ahead of the LP (May 19, 2023). The DistroKid credit pane lists music and lyrics as Luke Francis Walton, BMI 00579587572. Producer, mixing, recording, drums, bass, guitar, synthesizer, and singing are billed as Scoobert Doobert. Riley Knapp mastered it. Luke’s note on Apple: written thinking about best friends on Moonlight State Beach, beer in hand. A platonic love song for the homies.
The song stacks Encinitas joy until it tips into suspicion. Pizza cheese pull (am I in a commercial?), bonfire at your favorite break, buddy Jon house-sitting on Neptune in some rich guy’s infinity pool. When hometown joy hits this hard, you start to wonder if you’re in an ad. On Moonlight Beach, the answer is yes, and it’s real anyway.
