Under the gags is a real ache. The chorus keeps reaching for colors like I used to while knowing the honest answer to can it be like it used to is no. Ear to the Ground Music heard it as nostalgic and groove-centered. The outro doesn’t fix the loop, it thanks it: I am grateful… for all the good times with you. The Möbius move is wanting the past while admitting the party already ended.
