Marry You On the Dance Floor
Christofi & FEiN collab: club marriage pitch: bouncer is a pastor, groovin on one knee, honeymoon in the restroom; ends asking her name.
Christofi & FEiN unreleased collaboration (Walton/Woodward co-write with Christofi). SoundCloud. Not on Little Homes; a FEiN collab slot alongside Boomerang and Out of My Mind.
A club-comedy marriage sprint: instant courtship (you’re shining like a diamond / and I know how to mine) that outsources the sacrament to nightlife staff. The bouncer is a pastor, both families conveniently in attendance, the whole institution improvised between songs.
The joke is in how fast the romance collapses into farce. The honeymoon gets relocated to the restroom, and the punchline lands when the groom realizes he never caught the bride’s name: hey, what’s your name? / wait whats your name. Pairs with Roadtrip (genuflecting knee) and Lonely People (marriage as extraction), FEiN’s institution satire in party clothes.
Written by Luke Francis Walton and Brandon Michael Woodward (FEiN), with Christofi. Unreleased collaboration.
