Lyrics
We're gonna have the best day ever Hmm hmm Dude. Dude. When was the last time that you Waked and baked and went outside It's beautiful in the daylight It's fun Soaking up the midday sun While our brother's sitting in a cubicle Why don't we break him out Give him a summer now Yeah it's better late then never Better late than never Yeah it's better late than never We're gonna have the best day ever Hmm hmm We're gonna have the best day ever Hmm hmm Dude! Tell me what would be the perfect day for You! For me it would probably be an adventure Unexpected, kinda weird, kinda chaotic Meet some people and they probably think that we're psychotic Win them over Smoke a little something That's exotic Diving in the water Better late than never Better we're together Nah nah No I don't need the pressure When it's this good of weather I don't care Yeah whatever Better late than never Enjoying the good weather Me and you My dude! We're gonna have the best day ever We're gonna have the best day ever We're gonna have the best day ever Hmm hmm We're gonna have the best day ever We're gonna have the best day ever It's better late than never Better we're together Tired of the pressure Down for whatever Better late than never Better we're together Tired of the pressure Down for whatever We're gonna have the best day ever Hmm hmm We're gonna have the best day ever Hmm hmm
A stoner-bro manifesto for breaking your friend out of the cubicle and having the kind of weird, sunny day that doesn't need a plan.

Riley Knapp mastered it. Grizzard Graphics did the graphic design.
Not every Scoobert song is a koan. This one is two dudes deciding the cubicle brother needs a summer, right now, in daylight. The perfect day isn’t optimized. It’s unexpected, kinda weird, kinda chaotic, maybe psychotic-looking to strangers until you win them over.
“Better late than never” runs through the whole thing like a permission slip: you don’t need the perfect plan or the perfect weather forecast, just the willingness to go outside and see what happens. The hook is literally just we’re gonna have the best day ever repeated until you believe it. A Spotify for Artists email on September 14, 2025 (12:59 a.m.) added it to DOPAMINE (1,665,044 followers).
ALT77 (September 25, 2025) reviewed it next to Violet UltraRay, calling it a summery ode about doing something good for a friend. Mix It All Up (October 1, 2025) heard jangly indie-rock and pop, and read the lyric as making time for people you care about.
