Standalone single (2018), before $WAMI$ and before the character had a fully built world around him. The name does the work: Scoobert Doobert is already a Scooby-Doo-adjacent alias — Scoobert is what you call a scooby, snack is what he wants — so My Scoobert Snack is both a self-description and the first installment of a bit. The joke continued as Scoobert Snack, Pt. 2, which landed on $WAMI$ at track ten, sandwiched between Spice Up the Bedroom With Spirit Cuffs and Adonde Eres, proof the name had graduated to recurring character by the time the album came out.
By 2018, snack was also peak internet-speak for someone attractive, which Scoobert wears without explaining. The song lives in the pre-WAMI zone: looser, less conceptually dense than the LP, but audibly the same person.
Stereofox reviewed it — early Scoobert coverage from before the Big Hug era widened the press footprint. See Catalog · Press.
